Photo-of-the-day: "Into the light"

We have this ravine just a few minutes walk from where we live. It's an amazing place as the nature down there is alowed to (almost) run wild, creating this cool rainforest-like enivorment with a small stream running through it, and a primary canopy creating nice light patterns and shadows, all contributing to creating a setting wich is almost dream like, or like something out of a fairytale if you will.

As we were exiting the ravine via a very slippery stair case, it created this sensation of walking out of the darkness and into the light.

I liked the idea and was reminded of how I have always felt that Ylva found me sitting alone in the dark, grabbed my hand and pulled me up and into the light. Hence the title.

I also feel that the surrounding darkness helps bring out her mysterious side.

Today

Departure night.

Ylva goes back to Stockholm for a couple of days, and I head out to GRB for a few nights of work.

I try not to be to upset about it, she'll be back in my arms come tuesday, but it still hurts to see her go. I guess part of it is that we have seriously conflicting work days this month, and I don't know how much time we'll have to spend with each other. The other side of the coin is that due to even more unknown expenses with my car I really don't have the cash to spend on going back and forth between BLGE and GRB that much.

Also, Rufus will stay with me in LA until she gets back. It'll be alright i guess, he keeps me company. Besides, it's always amusing to see how he gets along with the cat.

To capture a moment in time. Life is nothing but a series of moments, capturing them is easy, the hard part is making them look like moments in time.
